MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING ON SOCIAL SECURITY
During the official visit to France of the President of the Philippines, H.E. Corazon C. Aquino on the 11th-12th July 1989, talks took place on Social Security as a matter of priority between the Republic of the Philippines and the Republic of France.
With a view to ensuring the protection of the social rights of workers, the two governments have decided that an Agreement on Social Security should be negotiated between the two countries. The two governments have therefore agreed that negotiations on this subject be opened as soon as possible either in Paris or in Manila.
