[ PRC RESOLUTION NO. 02 SERIES OF 2012, March 16, 2012 ]
PROFESSIONAL REGULATORY BOARD FOR FORESTRY
ADOPTION OF THE TABLES OF SPECIFICATIONS (TOS) FOR THE SUBJECTS OF FOREST GOVERNANCE AND SOCIAL FORESTRY, FOREST ECOSYSTEM, FOREST PRODUCTION MANAGEMENT AND FOREST ENGINEERING IN THE LICENSURE EXAMINATION FOR FORESTERS
WHEREAS, the Board under Resolution No. 01, Series of 1998, dated March 14, 1998 has adopted a syllabus for each of the four (4) subjects in the Foresters' Licensure Examination;
WHEREAS, pursuant to existing PRC Resolution/Memoranda, the Board has prepared Tables of Specifications with the assistance, in consultation and approval by the PRC Consultant for Test Construction and Development, Dr. Lucita Tibigar and further submitted to and concurred by the CHED per letter of Dr. Sinforoso M. Birung dated 11 January 2012;
WHEREAS, the adoption and implementation of the Tables of Specifications will appropriately incorporate the expected competencies of the examinee in each of the subjects covered by the syllabi and the weighted percentage thereof;
WHEREAS, the list of competencies includes in a generic manner those that will be needed and responsive in the practice of the profession whether it be in the academe, government offices, as well as in the technical requirement of the industry;
NOW, THEREFORE, the Board RESOLVED, as it hereby resoves to prescribed, promulgate and adopt the Tables of Specifications (TOS) for each of the four (4) subjects in the Forester's Licensure Examination which are appended hereto and made an integral part of this Resolution as "Annex A";
RESOLVES FURTHER, that this Resolution shall after approval hereof by the Commission, take effect after fifteen (15) days following its complete publication in the Official Gazette or a newspaper of general circulation whichever comes earlier;
RESOLVED FURTHERMORE that herein Tables of Specification adopted shall be used in the forthcoming 2012 Foresters' Licensure Examination in July 2012 and subsequent schedules thereafter;
RESOLVED FINALLY, to furnish copies to all Schools, Colleges and Universities offering Forestry Courses for dissemination to their graduates, to the U.P Law Center and the concerned Central and Regional Offices of the government.
