[ EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 389, December 30, 1989 ]

AUTHORIZING OFFICIALS AND EMPLOYEES OF THE REGULAR AGENCIES/ OFFICES OF THE NATIONAL GOVERNMENT AND OF OTHER GOVERNMENT-OWNED AND/OR CONTROLLED CORPORATIONS TO ADOPT THE RATES OF PER DIEM AND ALLOWANCES AS AUTHORIZED PURSUANT TO EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 151 DATED MARCH 19, 1987, AS IMPLEMENTED BY NATIONAL BUDGET CIRCULAR NO. 391 DATED OCTOBER 6, 1987, AS AMENDED, AND RATIFYING FOR THE PURPOSE ALL PREVIOUS PAYMENTS MADE BY NATIONAL GOVERNMENT AGENCIES/ OFFICES PURSUANT TO THE SAID ISSUANCES



I, CORAZON C. AQUINO, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby order:

SECTION 1. The authority granted to officials and employees of regular government agencies/offices and of other government-owned and/or controlled corporations observing the National Position Classification and Compensation Plan under the miscellaneous provision in National Budget Circular No. 391 to adopt the rates of per diem and allowances previously authorized to certain government-owned and/or controlled corporations pursuant to Executive Order No.151, is hereby confirmed subject to the same terms and conditions prescribed under said National Budget Circular No. 391, as amended by National Budget Circular No. 391-A.

SEC. 2. Payment made by some National Government agencies/offices and other government-owned and/or controlled corporations on the basis of miscellaneous provision in National Budget Circular No. 391 referred to herein is hereby considered valid with the promulgation or this Executive Order.

SEC. 3. This Executive Order shall take effect immediately.

Done in the City of Manila, this 30th day of December, in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and, eighty-nine.
