[ EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 88, January 31, 1946 ]

AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF FORESTRY TO ISSUE TO TOBACCO GROWERS GRATUITOUS LICENSE TO CUT FOREST PRODUCTS EXCLUSIVELY FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OR REPAIR OF TOBACCO WAREHOUSES AND CURING SHEDS FOR ONE YEAR



WHEREAS the warehouses and curing sheds of the tobacco farmers were destroyed on account of war operations thus leaving them in dire need of forest products for the rehabilitation and construction thereof;

NOW THEREFORE, I, SERGIO OSMEÑA, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by the Constitution and existing laws of the Philippines, do hereby authorize the Director of Forestry to issue to any grower of tobacco, within one year from the date hereof, a gratuitous license to cut timber of the first group and other forest products exclusively for the construction of new, or the repair, of existing, tobacco warehouses and curing, sheds.

Done at the City of Manila, this thirty-first day of January, in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and forty-six, and of the Commonwealth of the Philippines, the eleventh.
