[ EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 94, February 19, 1946 ]

REVOKING ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER NO. 4, RELATING TO REDEMPTION, UNDER CERTAIN CONDITIONS, OF EMERGENCY CURRENCY NOTES POSSESSED BY MEMBERS OF THE AMERICAN FORCES REPATRIATED FOR HEALTH AND OTHER REASONS, AND PROVIDING FUNDS THEREFOR



WHEREAS, the hostilities in connection with the War in the Pacific have already ceased; and WHEREAS, the circumstances which justified the grant of temporary measure of relief under Administrative Order No. 4, dated December 28, 1944, no longer exist;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, SERGIO OSMEÑA, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the authority vested in me by the Constitution and laws of the Philippines, do hereby order:

1. Administrative Order No. 4, dated December 28, 1944, is hereby revoked: Provided, however, That all applications for relief thereunder which were acted upon favorably by the proper authorities of the United States Armed Forces in the Far East prior to December 31, 1945, may be paid.

2. In addition to the amount of P50,000 previously authorized for the purpose of said Administrative Order, the sum of P10,000, so much thereof as may be necessary to pay the claims referred to in the preceding paragraph hereof, is hereby appropriated out of any funds in the National Treasury not otherwise appropriated.

3. This Order shall take effect immediately.

 Done at the City of Manila, this 19th day of February, in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and forty-six, and of the Commonwealth of the Philippines, the eleventh.
