[ EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 100, March 15, 1946 ]

TRANSFERRING THE FUNCTIONS OF PRESERVING PEACE AND MAINTAINING LAW AND ORDER TO THE PROVOST MARSHAL GENERAL OF THE PHILIPPINE ARMY AND PLACING THE MILITARY POLICE COMMAND OF THE PHILIPPINE ARMY UNDER THE GENERAL SUPERVISION AND CONTROL OF THE SECRETARY OF THE INTERIOR



The public interest so requiring, I, SERGIO OSMEÑA , President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by the Constitution and existing laws of the Philippines, do hereby order:

The function of preserving peace and maintaining law and order in the Philippines which has heretofore been vested in the Chief of Staff, Philippine Army, is hereby transferred to the Provost Marshal General of the Philippine Army.

The Military Police Command of the Philippine Army, as now organized, together with its present officers and enlisted men, is hereby placed under the general supervision and control of the Secretary of the Interior.

Executive Order No. 51, dated June 7, 1945, is hereby modified accordingly.

Done at the City of Manila, this 15th day of March, in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and forty-six, and of the Commonwealth of the Philippines, the eleventh.
