[ EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 446, June 09, 1951 ]

AUTHORIZING THE PRICE STABILIZATION CORPORATION TO IMPORT CERTAIN ESSENTIAL COMMODITIES WITHOUT QUOTA ALLOCATION AND IN SUCH QUANTITIES AS MAY BE FOUND NECESSARY



In order to insure an adequate supply of essential commodities and to arrest the rising trend of prices and discourage speculation and hoarding of said commodities, the Price Stabilization Corporation is hereby authorized, pursuant to the provisions of section 5 of Republic Act No. 509.in relation to section 8(6). of Republic Act No. 426, to import without quota allocation, in such .quantities as may be found necessary, and through such channels of trade as can supply in the quickest possible time and the most advantageous prices, the following commodities:

The Price Stabilization Corporation shall issue rules and regulations regarding the placing of orders for said commodities as well as their handling and distribution to meet the needs of the public.

This Order shall take effect as of the dates the Price Stabilization Corporation was authorized by the President of the Philippines in his letters of April 5 and May 11, 1951, to import the commodities herein listed without quota allocation and in such quantities as may be found necessary.

Done in the City of Manila, this 9th day of June, in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and fifty-one, and of the Independence of the Philippines, the fifth.
