[ EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 530, September 12, 1952 ]

BANNING THE IMPORTATION OF CERTAIN COMMODITIES



Pursuant to the authority vested in me by Section 3 of Republic Act No. 650, entitled “An Act to Regulate Imports and for Other Purposes and upon the recommendation of the Import Control Commission, I, ELPIDIO QUIRINO, President of the Philippines, do hereby ban the importation of the following commodities in addition to those listed in Annexes “B” and “C” of Executive Order No. 471 dated August 24, 1951:
  1. Incandescent bulb –

    115 Volt

    220Volt

    75-watt

    75-watt

    100-watt

    100-watt

    150-watt

    150-watt

    200-watt

    200-watt


  2. Fluorescent tubes –

    14-watt-T-12

    20-watt-T-12

    15-watt-T-12

    30-watt-T-8

    15-watt-T-8

    40-watt-T-12


  3. Grey cloth.

  4. Foreign lining and sheepskin lining and splits

  5. Pure tomato catsup
The ban on the importation of the above-mentioned items shall be lifted as soon as there is evidence to show undue increase in prices and deterioration in the quality thereof.

This Order shall take effect immediately.

Done in the City of Manila, this 12th day of September, in the Year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and fifty-two, and of the Independence of the Philippines, the seventh.
