[ EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 228, March 06, 1995 ]

AMENDING EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 203 TO INCLUDE THE PRESIDENTIAL LEGISLATIVE LIAISON OFFICE IN THE MEMBERSHIP OF THE SOCIAL REFORM AGENDA COUNCIL



WHEREAS, Executive Order No. 203 dated 27 September 1994 created the Oversight Committee and Social Reform Agenda Council to oversee and facilitate the implementation of the National Government’s major Social Reform Agenda;

WHEREAS, there are identified priority legislative measures in the Social Reform Agenda that need to be steered through a process which requires close coordination and liaison between the Executive and the Legislative branches of government;

WHEREAS, the Presidential Legislative Liaison Office (PLLO), by virtue of Memorandum Order No. 128 on 11 November 1987, is mandated to perform such a function; and,

WHEREAS, there is a need to include the Presidential Legislative Liaison Office in the Social Reform Agenda Council to ensure immediate and continuing action on the legislative agenda of the SRA.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FIDEL V. RAMOS, President of the Republic of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby amend section 1, number 1.2, letter (b) of Executive Order No. 203 dated 27 September 1994, to include the Presidential Legislative Liaison Office in the membership of the Social Reform Agenda Council.

This Executive Order shall take effect immediately.

DONE, in the City of Manila, this 6th day of March, in the Year of Our Lord, Nineteen Hundred and Ninety-Five.
