[ EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 165, August 27, 1965 ]

CREATING THE MUNICIPAL ADVISORY HEALTH COUNCIL



For the purpose of effectively preventing and combating the occurrence and reccurrence of “Cholera El Tor” and other dangerous communicable disease, especially in localities where the health and sanitary condition are below standard, and to implement health laws in the localities throughout the country, I, Diosdado Macapagal, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby create the Municipal Advisory Health Council under the direct supervision and control of the Secretary of Health, through the Regional Health Director and the Provincial Health Officer.

The Advisory Health Council shall be composed of the following:

The Municipal Health Officer Chairman
The District Supervisor or Principal Member
The President, League of Parents-Teachers Association Member
The PACD official, if any, in the locality Member
The Chairman, League of Barrio Councils Member
The Chairman of the Committee on Health Municipal Council Member
The Municipal Secretary Secretary

The Advisory Council shall exercise the powers and duties enumerated in Sections 995 and 996 of the Revised Administrative Code, as amended, and such other duties as may be delegated to it by the Secretary of Health.

All officers concerned are hereby directed to extend their full cooperation to the Council in the discharge of its functions.

The Secretary of Health shall promulgate rules and regulations to carry out the purpose of this Order.

Done in the City of Manila, this 27th day of August, in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and sixty-five.
