[ PROCLAMATION NO. 1642, October 09, 2008 ]

DECLARING TUESDAY, OCTOBER 28, 2008, AS SPECIAL (NON-WORKING) DAY IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF DINGLE, PROVINCE OF ILOILO



WHEREAS, the Municipality of Dingle, Province of Iloilo, marks the commemoration of the "Cry of Lincud", the first declaration of revolution against Spain in the Province of Iloilo and the Island of Panay on Tuesday, October 28, 2008;

WHEREAS, it is but fitting and proper that the people of the Municipality of Dingle, Province of Iloilo, be given full opportunity to celebrate the occasion with appropriate ceremonies.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, EDUARDO R. ERMITA, Executive Secretary, by authority of Her Excellency, GLORIA MACAPAGAL-ARROYO, do hereby declare Tuesday, October 28, 2008, as special (non-working) day in the Municipality of Dingle, Province of Iloilo.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.

Done in the City of Manila, this 9th day of October, in the year of Our Lord, Two Thousand and Eight.
