AMENDING EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 43 DATED OCTOBER 25, 1904 WHICH RESERVED CAUIT ISLAND, CEBU FOR THE USE OF THE QUARANTINE SERVICE AND THE MARINE-HOSPITAL SERVICE AND THE CHIEF QUARANTINE OFFICER, BY DECLARING THE AREA AS ALIENABLE AND DISPOSABLE AND TRANSFERRING ITS ADMINISTRATION AND OWNERSHIP FROM THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH (DOH) TO THE CITY GOVERNMENT OF CEBU TO FORM PART OF THE CEBU SOUTH RECLAMATION PROJECT



Upon the recommendation of the Secretary of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources and by virtue of the power vested in me by law, I, GLORIA MACAPAGAL-ARROYO, President of the Republic of the Philippines, do hereby amend Executive Order No. 43 dated October 25, 1904 which reserved Cauit Island, Cebu City for the use of the Quarantine Service and the Marine-Hospital Service and the Chief Quarantine Officer, by declaring the area as Alienable and Disposable and transferring its administration from the Department of Health (DOH) to the City Government of Cebu to form part of the Cebu South Reclamation Project, and granting said City ownership thereof, subject to private rights, if any there be, which parcel of land is more particularly described as follows:

A PARCEL OF LAND (Mr-07-00005) situated in the City of Cebu, Island of Cebu. Bounded on the SW., along line 1-2-3-4-5 by Lot 1, Sk-07-000037; and on the NE., and SE., along lines 5-6-7-8-9-10-11-12-13-14-15-16-17-18-19-20-21-22-23-24-25-26-27-1, with a salvage zone (20 m. wide), by BOHOL STRAIT. Beginning at a point marked “1” on plan being S. 79 deg. 24′E., 2079.76 meters from BM#55, Cebu Cadastre; thence;

All points referred to are indicated on plan and marked on the ground by P.S. cyl. conc. mons. 15x40 cm. Bearing true, and that of the reclamation survey executed by Cebu City Geodetic Engineer Edgar T. Batiquin on November 7, 2005 and approved on February 10, 2006.
