REVOKING PROCLAMATION NO. 312, S. OF 2000, AND AMENDING PROCLAMATION NO. 42, DATED JULY 5, 1954, AND THE SERIES OF RELATED SUBSEQUENT PROCLAMATIONS, BY DECLARING A PORTION OF QUEZON MEMORIAL PARK RESERVATION KNOWN AS THE "NINOY AQUINO PARKS AND WILDLIFE CENTER" A PROTECTED AREA AND A COMPONENT OF THE NATIONAL INTEGRATED PROTECTED AREAS SYSTEM UNDER REPUBLIC ACT NO. 7586, TRANSFERRING TITLE AND OWNERSHIP THEREOF TO THE REPUBLIC OF THE PHILIPPINES, AND PLACING IT UNDER THE MANAGEMENT AND ADMINISTRATION OF THE PROTECTED AREAS AND WILDLIFE DIVISION OF THE DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENT AND NATURAL RESOURCES
Upon recommendation of the Secretary of Environment and Natural Resources and pursuant to the authority vested in me by law, I, GLORIA MACAPAGAL-ARROYO, President of the Philippines, do hereby revoke Proclamation No. 312, s. of 2000 and amend Proclamation No.42 dated July 5, 1954 and other related subsequent proclamations, by declaring certain portions of Quezon Memorial Park Reservation known as "Ninoy Aquino Parks and Wildlife Center" (NAPWC) a Protected Area and a component of National Integrated Protected Areas System (NIPAS) pursuant to RA NO. 7586, transferring title and ownership thereof to the Republic of the Philippines, while placing it under the management and administration of Protected Areas and Wildlife Division of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), which portions are more particularly described as follows:
A parcel of land (Lot RP-3-B-4B-1-B-4-A, of the subdivision plan Bsd-22019 being a portion of the subdivision plan of Lot RP-3-B-4-B-1-B-4, (LRC Psd-128681, LRC Rec. A parcel of land being a portion of Lot RP-3-B-4-B-1-B-4-D, of the subdivision plan Bsd-22019 situated in North Triangle Subdivision, Diliman, Quezon City, bounded on the N., by North Avenue; on the NE., by Lot RP-3-B-4-B-1-B-4-E, Bsd-22019, on the SW., by Philippine Science High School Compound and on the NW., by remaining portion of Lot RP-3-B-4-B-1-B-4-D, Bsd-22019 containing an area of TEN THOUSAND AND FORTY EIGHT (10,048) SQUARE METERS, more or less subject to actual survey.
The National Housing Authority (NHA) shall transfer, at no cost, title and
ownership of the aforementioned parcels of land to the Republic of the
Philippines and deliver title thereof to Parks and Wildlife Division, DENR, which is
charged with management and administration thereof.
