DECLARING JANUARY 2005 AS BUREAU OF PLANT INDUSTRY’S DIAMOND ANNIVERSARY MONTH
WHEREAS, by virtue of Act No. 3639 on January 1, 1930, the Bureau of Plant Industry was created;
WHEREAS, the Bureau of Plant Industry was established to take over the tasks of plant research and crop production;
WHEREAS, the Bureau of Plant Industry is mandated to orchestrate the crop industry research and development system;
WHEREAS, there is a focus on vibrant crop farming communities and the industry sector to produce quality, accessible and globally competitive crops that is profitable for the Filipino farmers;
WHEREAS, the Bureau of Plant Industry commemorates its milestone year with a commitment to serve with excellence and meet the needs of its stakeholders.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, GLORIA MACAPAGAL –ARROYO, President of the Republic of the Philippines, by virtue of the power vested in me by law, do hereby declare January 2005 as Bureau of Plant Industry’s Diamond Anniversary Month.
IN WITHNESS THEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
