[ PROCLAMATION NO. 20, November 11, 1945 ]

PROVIDING FOR THE RETURN TO STANDARD TIME, AS PROVIDED IN COMMONWEALTH ACT NO. 91



WHEREAS, the emergency which justified the observance of the daylight-saving time has ceased to exist;

NOW, THEREFORE, by virtue of the powers conferred upon me by law, I, SERGIO OSMEÑA, President of the Philippines, do hereby direct that at twelve o’clock midnight, November 30, 1945, the daylight-saving time, heretofore observed in the Philippines, be terminated and retarded by one hour, and proclaim the standard time, as fixed in Commonwealth Act No. 91, effective in the Philippines beginning December 1, 1945.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Commonwealth of the Philippines to be affixed.

Done at the City of Washington, District of Columbia, United States of America (for the City of Manila, Philippines), this 11th day of November, in the year of Our Lord, Nineteen Hundred and Forty-five, and of the Commonwealth of the Philippines, the tenth.
