[ PROCLAMATION NO. 419, June 07, 1957 ]

DECLARING JUNE 12, 1957, AS A SPECIAL PUBLIC HOLIDAY IN THE PROVINCE OF CAVITE AND IN THE CITIES OF TRECE MARTIRES, CAVITE, AND TAGAYTAY



WHEREAS, the 59th anniversary of the establishment of the short-live Philippine Republic of the Revolutionary Government under General Emilio Aguinaldo falls on June 12, 1957; and

WHEREAS, the people of the province of Cavite and the cities of Trece Martires, Cavite, and Tagaytay desire that they be given ample opportunity to celebrate this year’s anniversary of that historic event with appropriate ceremonies;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, Carlos P. Garcia, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the authority vested in me by section 30 of the Revised Administrative Code, do hereby declare June 12, 1957, as a special public holiday in the province of Cavite and in the cities of Trece Martires, Cavite, and Tagaytay.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.

Done in the City of Manila, this 7th day of June, in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and fifty-seven and of the Independence of the Philippines, the eleventh.
