RESERVING FOR LAND SETTLEMENT PURPOSES UNDER THE ADMINISTRATION AND DISPOSITION OF THE NATIONAL RESETTLEMENT AND REHABILITATION ADMINISTRATION (NARRA) CERTAIN PARCELS OF THE PUBLIC DOMAIN SITUATED IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF SANTA CATALINA, PROVINCE OF NEGROS ORIENTAL, ISLAND OF NEGROS, PHILIPPINES



Upon the recommendation of the Secretary of Agriculture and Natural Resources and pursuant to the provisions of sections 83 of Commonwealth Act No. 141, as amended, I, Carlos P. Garcia, President of the Philippines, do hereby reserve for settlement and development purposes, under the Administration and control of the National Resettlement and Rehabilitation Administration (NARRA), subject to private rights, if any there be, and to future classification and final survey, and to the condition that the timber and other forest products therein, as well as the use and occupancy of the area indicated as timber land or forest reserve, shall remain under the administration and control of the Bureau of Forestry in accordance with the Forest Law and Regulations, the following parcels of the public domain situated in the municipality of Santa Catalina, province of Negros Oriental, island of Negros, and more particularly described as follows:

Lot, 1

Beginning at a point marked 1 on attached sketch plan, which is on the northern bank of the Sicopong River, which is identical to corner 36 of Block I, Project 37, Sta. Catalina, Negros Oriental, classified as alienable and disposable, described in LC Map No. 1542 of the Bureau of Forestry; thence in a general southwesterly direction following the southeastern boundary of Block I, Project No. 37 along the northern bank of the Sicopong River, approxi­mately 2,626 meters to point 2, which is identical to corner 41 of Block I, Project No. 37, described in LC Map No. 1542 of the Bureau of Forestry; thence approximately S. 38° W., 500 meters to point 3 which is identical to corner 163 of Block I, Project No. 33, classified as alienable and disposable, described in LC Map No. 683 of the Bureau of Forestry; thence in a general southwesterly direction following the southeastern boundary of Block I, Project No. 33, approximately 3,870 meters to point 4, which is identical to corner 174 of Block I, Project No. 33, described in LC Map No. 683 of the Bureau of Forestry; thence approximately S. 70° W., 750 meters to point 5 which is on the southern bank of the Sicopong River; thence in a general northeasterly direction, following Sicopong River upstream, approximately 3,000 meters to point 6, which is on the southern bank of the Sicopong River; thence ap­proximately N. 67° W., 950 meters to point 7; thence approximately N. 7° W., 950 meters to point 8; thence approximately N. 49° E., 580 meters to point 9, which is identical to corner 61 of Block I, Project No. 37, described in LC Map No. 1542 of the Bureau of Forestry; thence in a general northwesterly direction following the western boundary of Block I, Project No. 37, approximately 1,507 meters to point 10, which is identical, to corner 64 of Block I, Project No. 37, described in LC Map No. 1542 of the Bureau of Forestry; thence, approximately N. 82° W., 530 meters to point 11; thence approximately N. 42° W., 1,280 meters to point 12, which is identical to corner 2 of Negros Oriental Project No; 37-A, classified as alienable and disposable, described in LC Map No. 1591 of the Bureau of Forestry; thence in a general easterly direction, following the northern boundary of Project No. 37-A, approximately 1,300 meters to point 13, which is identical to corner 9 of Project No. 37-A, which is also identical to corner 8 of Block I, Project No. 37; thence in a general northeasterly direction, following northern boundary of the Negros Oriental Project No. 37, Block I,- approximately 1,800 meters to point 14, which is identical to corner 16 of-Block I, Project No. 37-D,. which is also identical to corner 15 of Block I, Project No. 37, described in LC Map No. 1542 of the Bureau of Forestry; thence in a general northeasterly direction, following the northern boundary of Block I, Project No. 37, approximately 1,430 meters to point 15, which is identical to corner 21 of Block I, Project No., 37, described in LC Map No. 1542 of the Bureau of Forestry; thence in a general northeasterly and southeasterly direction following the northern boundary of Negros Oriental Project No. 37, Block I, approximately 4,980 meters to the point of beginning, described in LC Map No. 1542 of the Bureau of Forestry; containing an approximate area, of 1,324 hectares.

Bounded on the north, by Negros Oriental Project No. 37-D, Block I; on the east and on the south, by timberland; and on the west, by Negros Oriental Project No. 33, classified as alienable and disposable.

All points referred to are indicated on attached sketch plan and are marked on the ground as described in LC Maps. Nos. 683, 1542 and 1591 of the Bureau of Forestry;

Lot 2

Beginning at a point marked 1 on sketch plan, which is identical to corner 1 of Negros Oriental Project No. 37-D, Block I, classified as alienable and disposable, described in LC Map No. 2157 of the Bureau of Forestry; thence in a general northeasterly direction following the northwestern boundary along the Lacson Logging Road of Block I, Project No. 37-D, approximately 3,560 meters to point 2, which is identical to corner 1 of Negros Oriental Project No. 37-C, Block I, which is also identical to corner 6 of Block I, Project No. 37-D, described in LC Map No. 2157 of the Bureau of Forestry; thence in a general southeasterly direction, following the northern boundary of Project No. 37-D, Block I, approximately 765 meters to point 3, which is identical to corner 84 of Project No. 37-C, Block I, which is also identical to corner 9 of Block I, Project No. 37-D, described in LC Map No. 2157 of the Bureau of Forestry; thence in a general southeasterly direction, following the eastern boundary along the Sinibaan Creek of Block I, Project No. 37-D, approximately 2,180 meters to point 4, which is identical to corner 14 of Block I, Project No. 37-D, described in LC Map No. 2157; thence approximately S. 9° N., approximately TOO meters to point 5, which is identical to corner 21 of Negros Oriental Project No. 37, Block I, described in.LC Map No. 1542 of the Bureau of Forestry; thence in a general southwesterly direction, following the northern boundary of Block I, Project No. 37, approximately 1,750 meters to point 6, which is identical to corner 15 of Block I, Project No. 37, which is also identical to corner 16 of Block I, Project No. 37-D, described in LC Map No. 2157 of the Bureau of Forestry; thence in a general southwesterly direction, following the southeastern boundary of Block I, Project No. 37-D, approximately 1,680 meters to point 7, which is identical to corner 8 of Block I, Project No. 37, which is also identical to corner 9 of Negros Oriental Project No. 37-A, which is also identical to corner 23,of Block I, Project No. 37-D, described in LC Map No. 1542 of the Bureau of Forestry; thence following the southern boundary of Project No. 37-D, Block I, approximately 2,430 meters to the point of beginning, described in LC Map No. 2157 of the Bureau of Forestry; containing an approximate area of 642 hectares.

Bounded on the north and on the east, by timberland (Project No. 37-A); on the south, by Negros Oriental Project No. 37, Block I, classified as alienable and disposable; and on the west, by timberland (Negros Oriental Project No; 33-A, Block A).

All points referred to are indicated on attached, sketch plan and are marked on the ground as described in LC Map Nos. 1542 and 2157 of the Bureau of Forestry.

Lot 3

Beginning at a point marked 1 on attached sketch plan, which is identical to corner 1 of Block I, Negros Oriental Project No. 37-C, classified as alienable and disposable, described in LC Map No. 2103 of the Bureau of Forestry; thence in a general northeasterly direction, following the eastern boundary of Block I, Negros Oriental Project No. 37-C, approximately 3,270 meters to point 2, which is identical to corner 3, Lot 525, Pls 404-D; thence in a general northeasterly direction, following the northwestern boundary of Block I, Negros Oriental Project No. 37-C, described in LC Map No. 2103, approximately 3.490 meters to point 3, which is identical to corner 30 of Block I, Negros Oriental Project No. 37-C; thence in a general southeasterly direction, following the northeastern boundary of Block I, Negros Oriental Project No. 37-C, approximately 2,145 meters to point 4, which is identical to corner 39 of Block I, Negros Oriental No. 37-C; thence in a general northeasterly direction, following the northern boundary of Block I, Negros Oriental Project No. 37-C, described in LC Map No. 2103, approximately 1,360 meters to point 5, which is identical to corner 43 of Block I, Negros Oriental Project No. 37-C; thence in a general southerly direction, following the eastern boundary of Block I, Negros Oriental Project No. 37-C, described in LC Map 2103, approximately 3,565 meters to point 6, which is identical to corner 52 of Block I, Negros Oriental Project No. 37-C, which is also identical to corner 1 of Block II, Project No. 37-C, described in LC Map No. 2103 of the Bureau of Forestry; thence approximately S. 55° N., 345. meters to point 7, which is identical to corner 53 of Block I, Negros Oriental Project No. 37-C; thence in a general northwesterly direction, following the southern boundary of Block I, Negros Oriental Project No. 37-C, described in LC Map No. 2103, approximately 3,025 meters to point 8, which is identical to corner 67 of the Block I, Negros Oriental Project No. 37-C; thence in a general southwesterly direction, following the southern boundary of Block I, Negros Oriental Project No. 37-C, approximately 788 meters to point 9, which is identical to Corner 73 of Block I, Negros Oriental Project No. 37-C, which is also identical to corner 3, Lot 592, Pls-404-D; thence in a northwesterly direction, following the southern boundary of Block I, Negros Oriental Project No. 37-C, approximately 893 meters to point 10, which is identical to corner 77 of Block I, Negros Oriental Project No. 37-C, which is also identical to corner 3, Lot 58-5, Pls-404-D; thence in a general southwesterly direction, following a creek downstream, approximately 500 meters to point 11, which is identical to corner 78 of Block I, Negros Oriental Project No. 37-C; thence approximately S. 52° W., 500 meters to point 12; thence in a general easterly direction, following; the southern boundary of Block I, Project No. 37-C, approximately 1,290 meters to point 13, which is identical to corner 9 of Block I, Project No. 37-D, which is also identical to corner 84 of Block I, Project No. 37-C, described in LC Map No. 1591 of the Bureau of Forestry; thence in a general northwesterly direction, following the southern boundary of Block I, Negros Oriental Project No. 37-C, described in LC Map No. 2103, approximately 765 meters to point of beginning; containing an approximate area of 1,460 hectares.

Bounded on the north and on the east, by public forest; on the south, by timberland (Block A, Project 37-C); and on the west, by timberland (Block A, Project 33-A).

All points referred to are indicated on attached sketch plan and are marked on the ground as described in LC Map No. 2103 of the Bureau of Forestry.

Lot 4

Beginning at a point marked 1 on attached sketch plan, which is identical to corner 1 of Block II, Project No. 37-C, which is also identical to corner 52 of Block I, Project No. 37-C, classified as alienable and disposable, described in LC Map No. 2103; thence in a general easterly direction following the northern boundary of Block I, Project No. 37-C, classified as alienable and disposable, described in LC Map No. 2103, approximately 6,094 meters to point 2, which is identical to corner 33 of Block II, Project No. 37-C, which is also identical to corner 8 of Block II, Project No. 37, classified as alienable and disposable, described in LC Map No. 1542 of the Bureau of Forestry; thence following the northern, eastern, then southern boundary of Block II, Project No. 37, described in LC Map 1542, approximately 2,020 meters to point 3, which is identical to corner 1 of Block II, Project No. 37; thence in a general northeasterly direction, following the Sicopong River upstream along the southern bank, approximately 1,000 meters to point 4; thence across the Sicopong River along the northern bank, approximately 100 meters to point 5, which is identical to corner 39 of Block II, Project No. 37-C, described in LC Map No. 2103 of the Bureau of Forestry; thence in a general northwesterly direction, following the western boundary of Block II, Project 37-C, described in LC Map No. 2103 of the Bureau of Forestry, approximately 1,930 meters to the point of beginning; containing an approximate area of 992 hectares.

Bounded on the north, by public forest; on the east and the south, by timberland (Block B, Project No. 37), and on the west, by timberland (Block A, Project No. 37-C).

All points referred to are indicated on attached sketch plan and are marked on the ground as described in LC Map Nos. 1542 and 2103 of the Bureau of Forestry.

Lot 5

Beginning at a point marked 1 on attached sketch plan, which is identical to corner 1 of Block II and Project No. 37-B, classified as alienable and disposable, described in LC Map No. 1920 of the Bureau of Forestry; thence in a general northerly direction, follow­ing-the western boundary of Block II, Project 37-B, approximately 3,320 meters to point 2, which is identical to corner 12 of Block II, Project 37-B, described in LC Map No. 1920 of the Bureau of Forestry; thence approximately N. 62° W., 250 meters to point 3, which is corner 10 of the Kainangan Townsite; thence approximately N. 33° W., 1,400 meters to point 4, which is corner 15 of the Kainangan Townsite; thence approximately N. 3° E., 400 meters to point 5, which is corner 16 of the Kainangan Townsite; thence approximately N. 61° E., 750 meters to point 6, which is identical to corner 16, of Block III, Project No. 37-B, classified as alienable and disposable, described in LC Map No. 1920 of the Bureau of Forestry; thence in a general southeasterly direction, following the northern and eastern boundary of Block III, Project No. 37-B, ap­proximately 2,020 meters to point 7, which is identical to corner 22 of Block III, Project No. 37-B, and which is also identical to earner 5 of Block III, Project No. 37-C, classified as alienable and disposable, described in LC Map No. 2103 of the Bureau of Forestry; thence in a general easterly, then southwesterly direction, following the northern and southeastern boundary of Block III, Project No. 37-C, approximately 2,250 meters to point 8, which is identical to corner 1 of Block III, Project No. 37-C, which is also identical to corner 16 of Block II, Project No. 37-B, described in LC Map No. 1920 of the Bureau of Forestry; thence in a general southerly direction, following the eastern boundary of Block II, Project 37-B, approximately 5,570 meters to the point of beginning; containing an approximate area of 575 hectares.

Bounded on the north, by Project No. 37, Block A, classified as timberland; on the east, by public forest; on the south, by public forest; and on the west, by Project No. 37-B, classified as timber-land.

All points referred to are indicated on sketch plan and are marked on the ground as described in LC Map Nos. 1920 and 2103 of the Bureau of Forestry.

Lot 6

Beginning at a point marked 1 on attached sketch plan, which is identical to corner 1 of Block I, Negros Oriental Project No. 37-B, classified as alienable and disposable, described in LC Map No. 1920 of the Bureau of Forestry; thence approximately N. 73° E., 310 meters to point 2; thence approximately N. 82° E., 160 meters to point 3; thence approximately N. 09° E., 220 meters to point 4; thence approximately N. 45° E., 200 meters to point 5; thence approximately S. 35° E., 200 meters to point 6; thence in a general southwesterly direction, following the Sta. Catalina River downstream, approximately 840 meters to point 7, which is at the junction of the Sta. Catalina River and a creek; thence in a general northwesterly direction, following Talolo creek upstream, approximately 400 meters to the point of beginning; containing an approximate area of 17 hectares.

Bounded on the north, east and west, by timberland; and on the south, by public forest.

All points referred to are indicated on attached sketch plan and are marked on the ground as described in LC Map No. 1920 of the Bureau of Forestry.

The total combined area of the six lots is 5,010 hectares, more or less.
