[ PROCLAMATION NO. 873, July 04, 2005 ]
RESERVING A CERTAIN PARCEL OF LAND OF THE PUBLIC DOMAIN SITUATED IN POBLACION, ARAKAN, COTABATO, ISLAND OF MINDANAO AS MUNICIPAL CENTER SITE OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF ARAKAN
Upon recommendation of the Secretary of Environment and Natural Resources, and by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, I, GLORIA MACAPAGAL ARROYO, President of the Republic of the Philippines, do hereby withdraw from entry, sale, disposition or settlement and reserve as Municipal Center of the Municipality of Arakan, Province of Cotobato, Island of Mindanao, containing an area of Fifty thousand Two Hundred Thirty Nine (50,239) square meters, subject to private rights, if any there be, which parcel of land is more particularly described as follows:
A PARCEL OF LAND (Lot. 382-C, Csd-12-004665, being a portion of Lot 382, Pls-831), situated in Barangay Poblacion, Municipality of Arakan, Province of Cotabato, Island of Mindanao.
Bounded on the NE., along line 1-2 by Lot 175, Pls-831; on the SE., along line 2-3 by Lot 173, Pls-831; along line 3-4 by Road; on the SW., along line 4-5 by Lot 154, Pls-831; and on the NW., along line 5-1 by Lot 382-A, Csd-12-004665.
Beginning at a point marked "1" on plan being N. 80 deg. 08’ E., 13,774.01 meters from BLLM No. 1, Pls-579, Kidapawan Public Land Subdivision, thence:
Beginning, containing an area of FIFTY THOUSAND TWO HUNDRED THIRTY NINE (50,239) SQUARE METERS, more or less.
All points referred to are indicated on the plan and are marked on the ground as Old B.L. Cyl. Conc. Mons. 15x60 cms.; Bearings True; Date of Original Survey: November 28, 1962; Date of Subdivision Survey: January 6-7, 1989 executed by Geodetic Engineer Elmelda F. Blanco and approved on September 13, 1989.
The tract of land herein reserved shall be non-alienable and shall not be subject to occupation, entry, sale, lease or other mode of disposition until again declared by the President as alienable and disposable through Proclamation.
The Department of Education shall have administrative jurisdiction over the area and by virtue of this proclamation may pursue further action leading to the grant of a special patent to the land reserved herein in favor of the Republic of the Philippines.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
