[ PROCLAMATION NO. 34, June 15, 1962 ]
PROCLAIMING THE PERIOD FROM OCTOBER 25 TO 31 OF EVERY YEAR, EFFECTIVE THE YEAR 1962, AS BOY SCOUTS WEEK
WHEREAS, the period from October 31 to November 6 of every year was designated under Proclamation No. 39, dated September 3, 1947, as Boy Scouts Week; and ;
WHEREAS, there is a need to amend the period of the Boy Scouts Week in order that the highlights of the Week’s celebration may be focused on Foundation Day (October 31) of the Boy Scouts of the Philippines;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, Diosdado Macapagal, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the authority vested in me by law, do hereby fix the period from October 25 to 31; of every year, effective the year 1962, as Boy Scouts Week.
Proclamation No. 39, dated September 3, 1947, is modified accordingly.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
Done in the City of Manila, this 15th day of June, in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and sixty-two.
