[ PROCLAMATION NO. 157, September 06, 1963 ]
DECLARING MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 9, 1963, AS A SPECIAL PUBLIC HOLIDAY IN CEBU PROVINCE AND IN THE CITIES OF CEBU, DANAO, LAPU-LAPU AND TOLEDO
WHEREAS, Monday, September 9, 1963, marks the birthday of the late President Sergio Osmeña Sr., second President of the Commonwealth, patriot, statesmen, and staunch advocate of nationalism and Philippine independence; and
WHEREAS, at least the people of his province should be afforded an opportunity to celebrate the event with appropriate ceremonies;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, Diosdado Macapagal, President of the Philippines, do hereby declare Monday, September 9, 1963, as a special public holiday in Cebu Province and in the Cities of Cebu, Danao, Lapu-lapu, and Toledo.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
Done in the City of Manila, this 6th day of September, in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and sixty-three.
