[ PROCLAMATION NO. 165, September 30, 1963 ]
DECLARING THE PERIOD FROM OCTOBER 1 TO 7, 1963, AS HOME INDUSTRIES WEEK
WHEREAS, the development of our country’s cottage industry potential depends on increased production and patronage and improvement of the methods of production and standards of cottage products; and
WHEREAS, there is need for more of our people to engage in cottage industries and participate in the attainment of economic self-sufficiency;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, Diosdado Macapagal, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare October 1 to 7, 1963, as Home Industries Week under the auspices of the National Cottage Industries Development Authority. I call upon all government and private entities and all residents of the Philippines to lend their full cooperation in making the observance of the Week a success.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and Caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
