[ PROCLAMATION NO. 195, January 18, 1964 ]
DECLARING FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 14, 1964, AS A SPECIAL PUBLIC HOLIDAY IN THE PROVINCES OF COTABATO, LANAO DEL NORTE, LANAO DEL SUR, AND SULU, AND IN THE CITIES OF BASILAN, COTABATO, ILIGAN, AND MARAWI
In connection with the feast of ID-UL-FITR, a very important holiday for Muslims, I, Diosdado Macapagal, President of the Philippines, pursuant to the authority vested in me by section 30 of the Revised Administrative Code, do hereby declare Friday, February 14, 1964, as a special public holiday in the provinces of Cotabato, Lanao del Norte, Lanao del Sur, and Sulu, and in the cities of Basilan, Cotabato, Iligan, and Marawi.
Muslin officials and employees of the Government, both national and local, performing their duties and functions outside of the provinces and cities above stated, shall be exempted from duty during this feast day which, for purposes of this proclamation, shall be considered as a special public holiday for said officials and employees in their respective stations.
In witness whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
Done in the City of Manila, this 18th day of January, in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and sixty-four.
