[ PROCLAMATION NO. 144, September 29, 1949 ]

RESERVING FOR MANILA RAILROAD SHOPS PURPOSES A CERTAIN PARCEL OF THE PUBLIC DOMAIN SITUATED IN MANILA NORTH HARBOR, CITY OF MANILA, ISLAND OF LUZON



Upon the recommendation of the Secretary of Agriculture and Natural Resources and pursuant to the provisions of section 83 of Commonwealth Act. No. 141, as amended, I hereby withdraw from sale or settlement and reserve for Manila Railroad shops purposes, under the administration of the Manila Railroad Company, subject to private rights, if any there be, a certain parcel of the public domain situated in Manila North Harbor, City of Manila, Island of Luzon and more particularly described in the Bureau of Lands plan Swo-23627, to wit:

“A parcel of land (S.W.O.-2367, G.L.R.O. Record No. ___, situated in the District of San Nicolas, City of Manila. Bounded on the SE., by property of the Manila Railroad Company of plan SH-154; on the SW., by a proposed road 30.00 wide; and on the NW., by property of the Republic of the Philippines. Beginning at a point marked “1” on plan, being S. 68° 35′ W., 751.55 meters more or less from B.L.L.M. No. 40 of the cadastral survey of Manila; thence N. 3° 50′ W., 146.80 m. to point “2”; thence N. 86° 18′ E., 167.34; m. to point “3”; thence S. 44° 59′ W., 222.34 m. to the point of beginning; containing an area of twelve thousand two hundred eighty two (12,282) square meters, more or less. All points referred to are indicated on the plan; and on the ground , are marked as follows: point “1” to “3” incl., by No. 45 Steel Rail, 80 cm. long; bearings true; declination variable; date of survey, July 14-17, 1948.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.

DONE in the City of Manila, this 29th day of September in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and forty-nine, and of the Independence of the Philippines, the fourth.
