[ PROCLAMATION NO. 153, October 18, 1949 ]
RESERVING FOR HIGH SCHOOL SITE PURPOSES A CERTAIN PARCEL OF THE PUBLIC DOMAIN SITUATED IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF JOLO, PROVINCE OF SULU, ISLAND OF JOLO
Upon the recommendation of the Secretary of Agriculture and Natural Resources and pursuant to the provisions of section 83 of Commonwealth Act No. 141, as amended, I hereby withdraw from sale or settlement and reserve for High School site purposes, under the administration of the Director of Public Schools, subject to private rights, if any there be, a certain parcel of the public domain situated in the municipality of Jolo, Province of Sulu, Island of Jolo, and more particularly described in the Bureau of Lands plan Psd-25836, to wit:
“A parcel of land (Lot 2562-A of the subdivision plan Psd-25836, being a portion of Lot 2562 of the cadastral survey of Mount Dajo, G. L. R. O. Cad. Record No. ), situated in the poblacion municipality of Jolo, Province of Sulu, Island of Jolo. Bounded on the N., by Jolo-Tagbili Road; and on the NE., SE., SW. and NW., by lot 2562-B of the subdivision plan. Beginning at a point marked “1” on plan, being S. 78° 04′ E., 923.72 m. from B. L. L. M. 2, Mount Dajo Cad. 99, thence N. 28° 35′ E., 198.17 m. to point “2”; thence N. 86° 42′ E., 200.00 m. to point “3”; thence N. 86° 42′ E., 99.61 m. to point “4”; thence N. 82° 30′ E., 48.61 m. to point “5”; thence S. 76° 14′ E., 21.72 m. to point “6”; thence S. 61° 51′ E., 202.66 m. to point “7”; thence S. 31° 03′ W., 207.76 m. to point “8”; thence S. 31° 03′ W., 200.00 m. to point “9”; thence N. 59° 40′ W., 250.00 m. to point “10”; thence N. 59° 40′ W., 250.00 m. to the point of beginning; containing an area of one hundred seventy three thousand and sixty (173,060) square meters, more or less. All points referred to are indicated on the plan and are marked on the ground as follows: points 2, 4, 5 and 6, by Old B. L. Conc. Mons.; and the rest, by P. L. S. Cyl. Conc. Mons.; bearings true; declination 1° 50′ E.,; date of the original survey, Dec., 1918 ? Sept., 1922 and that of the subdivision survey, February 5-7, 1949.”
