[ PROCLAMATION NO. 308, April 01, 1952 ]
DECLARING THE PERIOD FROM MAY 6 TO 12 OF EVERY YEAR AS NATIONAL HOSPITAL WEEK
WHEREAS, hospitals play an important role in promoting, safeguarding and preserving the health of the people;
WHEREAS, it is necessary to arouse deeper interest in hospitals; to establish and maintain community and individual confidence in said institutions; and to promote better cooperation among national, provincial, city, municipal and other organized bodies in the efficient maintenance and operation of hospitals;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, Elpidio Quirino, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the authority vested in me by law, do hereby declare the period from May 6 to 12 of every year as National Hospital Week and enjoin the celebration thereof with appropriate ceremonies.
This supersedes Proclamation No. 224, series of 1929.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
Done in the City of Manila, this first day of April, in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and fifty-two, and of the Independence of the Philippines, the sixth.
