[ PROCLAMATION NO. 491, March 11, 2024 ]

DECLARING FRIDAY, 22 MARCH 2024, AS A SPECIAL (NON-WORKING) DAY IN THE CITY OF BALIWAG, PROVINCE OF BULACAN



WHEREAS, on 22 March 2024, Friday, the City of Baliwag, Province of Bulacan, will mark the celebration of the 161th birth anniversary of Mariano Ponce;

WHEREAS, Mariano Ponce, a native of Baliwag, Bulacan, was a prominent member of the propaganda movement and one of the leading figures in the Philippine reform movement during the Spanish colonization;

WHEREAS, it is but fitting and proper that the people of the City of Baliwag be given full opportunity to participate in the occasion and enjoy the celebration;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, LUCAS P. BERSAMIN, Executive Secretary, by authority of the President, FERDINAND R. MARCOS, JR., do hereby declare Friday, 22 March 2024, a special (non-working) day in the City of Baliwag, Province of Bulacan.

IN WITNESS THEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.

DONE in the City of Manila, this 11th day of March, in the year of Our Lord, Two Thousand and Twenty Four.
