[ MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 177-A, June 08, 2009 ]
The World Food Programme of the United Nations spearheaded the event called “End Hunger: Walk the World 2009″ dubbed locally as “Isang Hakbang Pilipinas 09.” The one day event was held on 07 June 2009 at the Rajah Sulayman, Roxas Boulevard, Manila.
As a sign of government support, Memorandum Circular No. 177 (s. 2009) was issued to enjoin all Cabinet Members and heads of their attached agencies, government-owned and/or controlled corporations, government financial institutions, and state universities and colleges to actively participate in the said event.
Having already achieved its purpose, the provisions of Memorandum Circular No. 177 (s. 2009) shall no longer be effective after 07 June 2009.
