[ MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 22, July 28, 2017 ]
DIRECTING ALL GOVERNMENT AGENCIES AND INSTRUMENTALITIES, INCLUDING GOVERNMENT-OWNED OR-CONTROLLED CORPORATIONS AND LOCAL GOVERNMENT UNITS, TO EXTEND FULL SUPPORT AND TO ACTIVELY PARTICIPATE IN THE PHILIPPINES' HOSTING OF THE 2017 SUMMIT OF THE ASSOCIATION OF SOUTHEAST ASIAN NATIONS AND ITS RELATED ACTIVITIES
WHEREAS, the Philippines as this year's Chairman of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), will host the 2017 ASEAN Summit and its related activities on November 10-14, 2017, with the theme, "Partnership for Change, Engaging the World;"
WHEREAS, the Philippines' chairmanship also coincides with the celebration of the 50th founding anniversary of the ASEAN which will be commemorated on August 8, 2017 across all ASEAN Member States;
NOW, THEREFORE, all government agencies and instrumentalities, including government-owned or -controlled corporations and local government units, are hereby directed to extend full support and to actively participate in the 2017 ASEAN Summit and its related activities.
This Memorandum Circular shall take effect immediately.
DONE, in the City of Manila, this 28th day of July, in the year of Our Lord, Two Thousand and Seventeen.
