[ MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 143, September 27, 2007 ]
ENJOINING ALL GOVERNMENT OFFICES TO EXTEND SUPPORT AND COOPERATION TO THE "SING FOR ME: A CALL FOR PEACE AND UNITY" PROJECT OF THE DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL WELFARE AND DEVELOPMENT (DSWD)
The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) will launch the "Sing For Me: A Call For Peace And Unity" project on 22 September 2007, at the Quezon City Hall Plaza, a simultaneous serenade and community singing of Christmas carols by the chorale groups of the local government units and other sectors for the benefit of disadvantaged children. This project aims to promote peace and unit among Filipinos, here and abroad, through music. There will be bi-monthly concerts after the launching as a prelude to the main event, which is scheduled on 15 December 2007, at the Marikina Sports Complex.
In view thereof, all government offices, including Government-Owned and Controlled Corporations (GOCCs) and State Colleges and Universities (SUCs), are hereby enjoined to extend its support and cooperation to help promote the objectives of this project and contribute to its success.
Done in the City of Manila this 27th day of September in the year of our Lord, Two Thousand and Seven.
