[ MEMORANDUM ORDER NO. 8, November 07, 2022 ]

AMENDING MEMORANDUM ORDER NO. 06, SERIES OF 2016, TO FURTHER RECONSTITUTE THE OFFICE OF THE PRESIDENT CULTURAL AFFAIRS COMMITTEE



Memorandum Order No. 6, dated 13 October 2016, which reconstituted the Office of the President Cultural Affairs Committee (OPCAC) that was created by virtue of Special Order No. 522, dated 20 August 1999, is hereby amended so as to further reconstitute the OPCAC as follows:

The OPCAC is hereby directed to organize and plan an annual program of cultural activities in the OP to highlight the Filipino identity as well as to sharpen our sense of nationalism and patriotism. The said cultural activities include the annual OP summer and Christmas activities, among other traditional and cultural activities that may be organized and planned by the OPCAC for implementation. Funds for the purpose shall be made chargeable against the funds of the OP, subject to its availability, and to pertinent government budgeting, procurement, accounting, and auditing laws, issuances, and rules and regulations.

The Office of the DESFA-Technical Service Office and the Human Resource Management Office shall jointly provide secretariat and administrative support services to the OPCAC.

This Memorandum Order shall take effect immediately.
