ESTABLISHING THE CENTER FOR GIRLS AND WOMEN IN DIFFICULT SITUATIONS



In view of the need to serve its mission and strengthen programs and services to the constituents in the Marillac Hills (Philippine Training School for Girls) in the light of the current trends and developments, and consistent with the mandate of the DSWD to care, protect and rehabilitate the physically and mentally handicapped and the socially needy for their effective functioning, the Marillac Hills is hereby renamed, CENTER FOR GIRLS AND WOMEN IN DIFFICULT SITUATIONS.

The Center for Girls and Women in Difficult Situation shall be relocated at a 5.6 hectares new site reserved for the purpose at the Alabang Stock Farm. This Center shall provide rehabilitation service to female youth offenders, victims of sexual abuse, and women in difficult situation, as well as other young female youth and women needing special care.

The concerned Bureaus in coordination with the Assistant Secretary for Programs are hereby directed to prepare the implementing rules and regulations to facilitate the transfer and the operations of this Center.
