IRAQUI FOREIGN CURRENCY REGULATIONS



You are hereby directed to disseminate to Iraq bound contract workers and those who are transiting in Iraq the following information sent by the Philippine Embassy in Baghdad:

1. Iraqui foreign currency regulations are being strictly implemented.  Ignorance of the same exempts no one from penalties.

2. Under the said regulations, no foreigner is allowed to take out any hard currency (US Dollars, British Pounds, German Marks) unless such amount has been declared at the port of entry.

3. Any foreigner found to be in possession of undeclared foreign currency at the point of exit is meted out heavy penalty, either by confiscation of the foreign currency, imprisonment or both.

4. All Filipino workers are advised to comply strictly with the above regulation.

All concerned licensed agencies are enjoined to include the above information in their PDOS for their recruits.
