DESIGNATION OF AN ADDITIONAL QUARANTINE ANCHORAGE IN MANILA HARBOR



Pursuant to the provision of Section 7 of Republic Act No. 123, hereunder is designated the boundaries of an additional quarantine anchorage in the Manila Harbor for use of arriving vessels bound for the Manila International Container Terminal and the rules and regulations covering the use of such anchorage are hereby promulgated for the information and guidance of all concerned.

1.  Boundaries — An additional quarantine anchorage in the Manila Harbor is hereby designated, the boundaries of which are as follows:  An area of two (2) square miles, one (1) mile West, one (1) mile East, one-half (½) mile North and one-half (½) mile South, all reckoned from the center which has the coordinates as follows:

Longitude 120° 53' 45" East

Latitude 14° 36' 20" North

2.  Rules and Regulations

a.       All vessels arriving and bound for the Manila International Container Terminal subject to quarantine inspection shall drop anchor within the limits of this anchorage, fly the quarantine flag and await quarantine inspection.

b.       A vessel subject to quarantine may not be allowed to leave the quarantine anchorage until given a pratique by the Quarantine Officer.
