REVISED PERMISSIBLE CLAIMS FOR COSMETIC PREPARATIONS



1. All labelling claims of cosmetic products shall be substantiated by scientific evidence and/or by the cosmetic formulation or preparation itself and consistent with the definition of Cosmetics provided for by RA 7394 amending RA 3720.

2. Upon careful deliberation and recommendation by the Joint BFAD-Industry Task Force the following claims have been revised and considered permissible provided technical justifications for these claims are submitted. These claims which were not permissible as per Bureau Memorandum No. 21, s. 1995 may now be allowed.

Anti-wrinkle
Helps prevent formation of wrinkles
Helps prevent stretch marks
Removes, sheds off dead skin cells
Contouring/Body contouring

This shall take effect immediately.
