(NAR) VOL. 11 NO.3 / JULY – SEP. 2000
1. Maximum transmitter output power shall not exceed 1 watt effective radiated power (ERP) on non-interference basis; however, when operating at that power, the antenna gain shall not exceed 6 dBi. Systems that are used exclusively for Fixed-point-to-point operation may employ transmitting antennas with directional gain greater than 6 dBi provided the maximum peak output power of the transmitter is reduced by 1 dB for every 3 dB that the directional gain of the antenna exceeds 6 dBi;
2. Suspension on filing, acceptance and processing of applications for various permits and licenses and demonstration purposes on the use of spread spectrum technology within the 2.4 Ghz band is lifted except in areas of National Capital Region, Region III and IV.
3. Operation of radio equipment using spread spectrum technology shall be on secondary, non-priority and non-interference basis.
4. Operation of radios using spread spectrum technology shall be subject to rules and regulations and guidelines that are now existing and to future guidelines to be promulgated.
