Pursuant to Department Order No. 92-581 directing that “the fare range scheme heretofore enjoyed by provincial bus operators per LTFRB decision in Case No. 90-4794, shall be extended to provincial jeepneys” operating on inter-municipality, inter-provincial and inter-regional routes with the exception of those operating in the National Capital Region and within a municipality or city and in accordance with the Memorandum dated 26 May 1992 to the Acting LTFRB Chairman of Undersecretary Jose R. Valdecanas, henceforth, all provincial jeepneys may charge 15% below the current LTFRB-approved basic jeepney fare per kilometer to legally enable provincial jeepney operators and drivers to pass on to commuters whatever benefits they might have derived from the reduction in fuel prices.

This Memorandum Circular takes effect immediately.
