The British Embassy Manila has warned visa applicants against job advertisements posted on the website citing that personnel of the Home Office and Immigration office are asking for payments in order to facilitate processing of visa applicants.

This information was issued by the British Embassy following a number of queries on whether the United Kingdom Immigration Office required an Anti-Terrorist Certificate before visas could be issued.

According to the British Embassy, under no circumstances could the UK Immigration Office or the Home Office staff facilitate visa applications for a fee nor require the

Anti-Terrorist Certificate in connection with applications for visa issuance. The Embassy suspected that the job advertisements were a scam and an attempt to extort money from the applicants.

Applicants are advised to refer to http://www.ukvacs.net, the website of the outsource provider of the British Embassy for the list of visa application requirements.
