REVISED POLICY ON THE ASSESSMENT CENTER COST



Pursuant to CESB Resolution No. 518 dated November 25, 2003, the Board hereby amends Section 5, Article IV of CESB Resolution No. 459, series of 2002, hereinafter known as the "Revised Policy on the Assessment Center Cost" which shall now read as follows:

"Section 5. Assessment Center Cost. The Following rules shall apply on the Assessment Center Cost:

5.1 The Board shall shoulder the Assessment Center cost of the following applicants, namely:

5.1.1. A career presidential appointee assigned to or who acts as Officer-in-Charge of a CES position;

5.1.2 One who is appointed to or who acts as Officer-In-Charge of division chief positions in the national government agencies covered by the CES, whose third level officials are appointed by the President;

The Board shall shoulder the Assessment Center Cost of the above-stated applicants only once.  If the said applicants fail in the Assessment Center on their first take and decide to re-take it, they shall be required to shoulder the cost of their subsequent attempts.

5.2 All other applicants, whether coming from the national government agencies or government-owned or controlled corporations, whose third level officials are non-presidential appointees, other respective agencies, including those from the private sector, shall shoulder the cost of the Assessment Center regardless of whether it is their first take or subsequent attempts."

The foregoing amendatory provision shall apply as follows:

1. Upon the effectivity of this resolution, the payment of the Assessment Center cost of all MATB applicants shall be made in accordance with the Revised Policy on the Assessment Center cost provided in this resolution;

2. Applicants, who are on-stream for conferment of the four-stage CES Eligibility Examination process, shall be governed by the old policy on the Assessment Center cost provided under the Revised Policy on CES Eligibility (CESB Res. No. 459, s. 2002)

This Circular shall take effect immediately.
