PENALTY OF P 1,000 PER DAY ON DELAYED SUBMISSION OF REPORTS BY THE MILL/REFINERY COMPANY



WHEREAS, there is a need for the Sugar Regulatory Administration (SRA) to establish an accurate and timely data and information to serve as basis for policy decisions;

WHEREAS, in order to attain the Sugar Monitoring System's (SMS) objective of providing management an effective information system useful to its policy and decision making functions, timely submission of weekly SMS reports using latest communication technology are deemed necessary;

NOW, THEREFORE, under and by virtue of the powers vested in the Sugar Regulatory Administration, it is hereby ordered that:

SECTION 1. Effective 01 September 1998, (start of crop year 1998-1999) all mill/refinery companies are hereby required to submit the revised Sugar Monitoring System (SMS) reports (copy of forms hereto attached) to the Production Control and Regulation Office (PCRO), SRA, Diliman, Quezon City (Fax No. 924-4034) on or before the Tuesday following the week-ending date of the report.

The Sugar Production Regulation Officer (SPCRO) assigned in their respective mill/refinery company shall monitor and facilitate the submission of the said reports through any fastest means of communication.

SECTION 2. To ensure timely submission of SRA SMS reports, a penalty of P 1,000.00 per day shall be imposed and collected from the mill/refinery company on delayed reports until updated.

Likewise, non-payment of the penalty upon order by this Office shall constitute a ground for further administrative sanctions.

SECTION 3. Provisions of sugar orders, circular letters, rules and regulations inconsistent with or contrary to this Sugar Order are hereby revoked, amended or modified accordingly.
