LIFTING OF THE TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF FEMALE WORKER DEPLOYMENT TO THE CNMI



In response to the cooperative efforts of the Commonwealth of the Northern Marianas Islands at instituting mechanisms to ensure the welfare of Filipino workers and consistent with the condition set for the lifting of the temporary suspension of female worker deployment to the CNMI, the suspension as embodied under Department Order Nos. 10 and 10-A (Series of 1995) is hereby lifted and deployment thereat is resumed.

The POEA is hereby directed to formulate the necessary guidelines to implement this order taking into account the need to institute systems and procedures that will ensure strict compliance with the protective mechanisms agreed upon by the governments of the Philippines and CNMI.
