2.1 | Filipino citizens in the military service of allied forces, such as the Old Philippine Scouts, the New Philippine Scouts, the United States Army, the United States Navy, the United States Marine Corps and other friendly foreign forces; and |
2.2 | Foreign national in the military service of the Philippine Army or guerilla organizations recognized by the Republic of the Philippines. |
4.1 | Educational Benefits. The period of entitlement of a foreign national who served in the Philippine Army or in a recognized guerrilla organization will be computed in accordance with the provisions of Section 15 of DND Department Order Number A-049. A Filipino citizen who served in an allied unit within Philippine territorial limits is not eligible for educational benefit. |
4.2 | Disability Pension. A veteran who is a foreign national who served in the Philippine Army or in a recognized guerilla organization must have been disabled owing to sickness, disease, wounds or injuries sustained in line of duty within Philippine territorial limits during the period 8 December 1941 to 3 July 1946. A Filipino citizen who served in an allied unit within the Philippine territorial limits is not eligible for disability pension. |
4.3 | Death Pension. A veteran must have died in line of duty within Philippine territorial limits during the period 8 December 1941 to 3 July 1946 or must have died at any time after departure from Philippine territory or after honorable separation from the service as a result of wounds or injury received or sickness or disease incurred in line of duty or as a consequence of the performance of such duty within Philippine territorial limits during the period 8 December 1941 to 3 July 1946. |
4.4 | Old Age Pension, Hospitalization and Burial Benefits. A veteran must have participated in any engagement against the enemy or must have completed thirty (30) days of continuous service or sixty cumulative days of broken service within Philippine territorial limits during the period from 8 December 1941 to 3 July 1946. |
