REVERSION OF YEARLY TESTING AND RESEALING OF TAXIMETER



Due to the expiration of the Contract of Lease entered into by this Board on the property situated in Quezon Avenue Corner EDSA being utilized for the testing and resealing of taximeter, and the failure to come up with reasonable negotiations for its extension, this Board will now conduct the testing and resealing of taximeters at Royal, Quezon City (between Munoz and Balintawak).

However, in order to avoid congestion of vehicles within the vicinity of the new site as mentioned above, and for a more efficient delivery of services by the testing and resealing section, this Board hereby SUSPENDS the implementation of Memorandum Circular 2008-020 dated November 3, 2008, and will now enforce MC 2007-040 RE; YEARLY TESTING AND RESEALING OF TAXIMETERS, except on the fees and charges that will be imposed, which shall now be in the amount of Five Hundred Pesos (PhP 500.00) per unit (PhP120.00 for testing fee and PhP380.00 for resealing fee, but exclusive of other charges and penalties that may be imposed from time to time, with following time scheme:

  1. Those units ending with Plate Number 1 shall be tested and resealed on month January depending on the middle number of the unit;

  2. Those units ending with Plate Number 2 shall be tested and resealed on month of February depending on the middle number of the unit;

  3. Those units ending with Plate Number 3 shall be tested and resealed on month of March depending on the middle number of the unit and so on and so forth;

This Memorandum Circular supersedes and amends all issuances inconsistent herewith and shall take effect fifteen (15) days following its publication in a newspaper of general circulation and filing of three (3) copies hereof with the UP Law Center pursuant to Presidential Memorandum Circular No. 11 dated 9 October 1992.
