DELISTING OF THE PEOPLE'S REPUBLIC OF CHINA FROM THE COVERAGE OF LOI NO. 444



Please be informed that the Committee on Scientific and Technical Cooperation with Socialist Country (SOCCOM), per attached Memorandum Circular signed by its Chairman, has delisted the People's Republic of China (PROC) from the list of countries covered by Letter of Instructions (LOI) No. 444 dated August 9, 1976.

This delisting by SOCCOM is pursuant to the directive of the President under Executive Order No. 244 dated May 12, 1995.

Accordingly, Appendices 1 (Item 15) and 5 (Item 23) of CB Circular No. 1389, as amended, are deemed amended by said SOCCOM Memorandum Circular such that all imports from or exports to the PROC shall no longer require Philippine International Trading Corporation (PITC) clearance, effective on the date specified in said SOCCOM Memorandum Circular.
