REVOCATION OF MARINA ADVISORY NO. 2007-02, SERIES OF 2007, DATED 24 SEPTEMBER 2007



In view of MARINA’s recent policy formulations to ensure safe navigation and protection of life at sea, more particularly on small watercrafts, MARINA Advisory No. 2007-02, on “Prohibition of the Registration of Newly-Acquired/Built Wooden-Hulled Ships” is hereby revoked, and henceforth, MARINA shall approve vessel plans and register newly-acquired/built wooden-hulled ships engaged in the carriage of passengers and cargoes, provided these ships shall conform with the provisions of MARINA Circular No. 2011-01 dated 27 October 2010, on the “Rules for Construction of Wooden-Hulled Ships and for Wooden-Hulled Boats with Outriggers”, and other pertinent MARINA rules and regulations.

Such wooden-hulled ships registered shall be issued Certificate of Public Convenience (CPC) upon compliance with the rules on Classification of Wooden-Hulled Ships to be adopted.
