PENALTY FOR OPERATING RIGHT-HAND DRIVE VEHICLES



By virtue of Executive Order No. 159 dated 23 February 1994, any violation of Department Order No. 95-847 dated 30 March 1995 and LTO Memorandum Circular No. 95-217 shall be penalized as follows:
First Offense - P1,000.00 for the driver
  - P3,000.00 for the owner
   
Subsequent Offenses - P2,000.00 for the driver
  - P6,000.00 for the owner

The registration shall be suspended upon due notice and shall NOT be lifted until the vehicle is properly converted to left hand drive in accordance with PNS 1259-1994 "Requirements for Repositioning Right-Hand Drive (RHD) to Left Hand Drive (LHD) on Road Vehicles."

All orders contrary herewith are hereby amended.

This Order shall take effect upon publication in the official gazette and in newspapers of general circulation.
