(NAR) VOL. 21 NO.2 APRIL - JUNE 2010

[ LTO MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. AHS-2010-1316, May 24, 2010 ]

OUTREACH PROGRAM WITH THE USE OF AUTHORIZED PRIVATE EMISSION TESTING CENTERS (PETC)

This has reference to the various request from the far flung areas of island provinces having hard time bringing in their vehicles for the conduct of emission test but most of the time cannot be serviced by the LTO emission testing machines. As a result, most vehicles are found to be unregistered for failure to meet the requirement.

In this regard and for purposes of bringing LTO services closer to the people, the Regional Directors are hereby authorized to assign an authorized PETC to service the far flung areas in their respective areas of responsibilities. PETCs operating in the geographic areas serviced by LTO District Offices can be tagged along for an “outreach program” for island provinces only.

Further, the assignment of PETC should not be exclusive for one PETC only and should be supervised by a member of the RMT from LTO and required to submit a report to the Central Office PETC Authorization Committee for proper recording and monitoring.

For your guidance and strict compliance.

(SGD.) ALBERTO H. SUANSING
  Assistant Secretary
