BOARD OF PHARMACY
AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 12, SERIES OF 1991



WHEREAS pursuant to Sec. 11(d) and (e) of R.A. No. 5921, as amended, and Sec. 6 (a) of P.D. 223, the Board on October 8, 1991 promulgated Res. No. 12 (Series of 1991): "Regrouping of the subjects in the Licensure Examination for the Practice of Pharmacy" as published in the Official Gazette Vol. 87; No. 50.

WHEREAS the Board upon consultation and consent of the Philippine Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (PACOP) in a meeting/dialogue held on Sept. 7, 1993 at the National University, proposed changes in the said resolution to keep at pace with the current technical knowledge and skills required of the pharmacists to practice pharmacy and to conform the names of the subjects to international terminologies; and

WHEREAS, in consonance therewith, the Board prescribed and adopted such changes- new groupings of related subjects with their respective  percentage to facilitate the preparation of and review for the pharmacy licensure examination as: Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmacognosy, Plant Chemistry and Biochemistry, Practice of Pharmacy, Pharmacology — Pharmacokinetics, Pharmaceutics, Quality Assurance/Quality Control starting January, 1994.

NOW, THEREFORE, the Board by virtue of the powers vested by law, hereby RESOLVED, as it so RESOLVES, that after approval by the Commission, Group I, II and III and Resolution No. 103, Series of 1988 and Res. No. 12, Series of 1991, be amended, to read, to wit:

that the foregoing revised groups of subjects be prescribed in the January, 1994 and subsequent Pharmacy Licensure Examinations; that the general average rating of every examinee therein shall embody the said new arrangement or grouping of subjects with the equivalent percentage thereof.

RESOLVED. LIKEWISE, that the herein Resolution be extensively circularized and disseminated to all schools, colleges and universities offering pharmacy course.

RESOLVED, FINALLY, that the herein Resolution, upon approval hereof by the Commission, shall take effect after fifteen (15) days following the completion of the publication thereof in two (2) newspapers of general circulation or in the Official Gazette.
