There have been reports that Filipino worker-trainees in South Korea have been involved in the criminal and other illegal activities.

In order to assure that worker trainees being deployed to said country are without criminal records, the submission of NBI/Police Clearance for worker-trainees for South Korea shall be required for contract processing effective 15 August 1995.
