SUGAR DAMAGED TOTALLY BY NATURAL CALAMITIES



WHEREAS, The Sugar Regulatory Administration (SRA) is mandated to protect the integrity of sugar quedan-permits issued to cover all the sugar manufactured and stored at the warehouses of all operating sugar mills.

WHEREAS, quedan-permits covering sugar totally damaged by natural calamities will result to "sugarless quedans" if said quedan-permits remain outstanding;

NOW, THEREFORE, under and by virtue of the powers vested in the Sugar Regulatory Administration, it is hereby ordered that:

SECTION 1. All mill companies with totally damaged sugar stocks due to natural calamities shall submit a report to the SRA in accordance with the provisions of Sugar Order No. 5, Series of 1994-1995, dated 07 February 1995.

SECTION 2. The SRA, upon receipt of said report, shall issue immediately to the mill concerned a Stop Order pertaining to the issued sugar quedan-permits covering the totally damaged sugar.

SECTION 3. All holders of the sugar quedan-permits covering totally damaged sugar shall surrender said quedan-permits to the issuing mill company for cancellation thereof.

SECTION 4. Other provisions of Sugar Order No. 5, Series 1994-1995, dated 07 February 1995, shall remain in full force and effect.

SECTION 5. This Order shall take effect immediately.

SECTION 6. Provisions of Sugar Orders, Circular Letters and other regulations inconsistent with or contrary to this Sugar Order are hereby amended, modified or revoked accordingly.
