DISPENSING WITH THE ISSUANCE OF DEPUTATION ORDERS FOR LTO PERSONNEL ASSIGNED AND/OR DETAILED TO PERFORM LAW ENFORCEMENT FUNCTION

PURSUANT TO Executive Order No. 292, otherwise known as the Administrative Code of 1987, all LTO officers and employees who are assigned at/or detailed to the Law Enforcement Service (LES), Central Office as well as those in the equivalent field enforcement units in all regional and district offices, are, by the nature of their offices’ functions, authorized to make apprehensions for purposes of enforcing the provisions of Republic Act No. 4136, otherwise known as the Land Transportation and Traffic Code, and other related land transportation laws, rules and regulations.

Henceforth, said LTO officers and employees no longer need deputation orders.

However, non-LTO personnel assigned to perform law enforcement functions shall still need deputation orders to be issued in accordance to existing rules and regulations.

All other reportorial requirements shall remain imposed.

All orders, memoranda and/or administrative issuances that are in conflict herewith are hereby amended or modified accordingly.
